At Oak Primary School, we are passionate about ensuring children with additional needs are included in the mainstream setting. We are required by law to make reasonable adjustments and use our best endeavours to allow all our learners to access the curriculum. We understand that, as teachers and educators, our job is to adapt the curriculum to suit all our learners’ needs. If you have a child with additional needs, please read these documents to see how we can support you and child to achieve the best education possible.

Do you have a child with a disability who you would like to attend nursery? We offer Free Early Education and care (FEEC) for 3 and 4 year olds who qualify for Kirklees Council’s Disability Access Funding (DAF). A lump sum payment of £650 is available each financial year (1 April to 31 March) to providers who have eligible funded children in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA). This additional money could make a difference to your child’s education.
If you wish to apply to the Disability Access Fund, please download the form below. Any questions, please contact Amanda Pilling (SENDCO) or Robert Townsend (SENDCO) on
